In a dramatic encounter on the streets of Nottingham, a dangerous driver was pursued by police after being spotted without a seatbelt. Officer PC Haddon Smith noticed Bobby Parr, 33, driving a Land Rover Discovery erratically, exceeding speeds of 70mph in a 30mph zone, running red lights, and even mounting pavements to bypass slower vehicles. The high-speed chase ended when Parr lost control of his vehicle on a bend in Lowfield Lane, crashing into a ditch.
Following the incident, Parr was charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. He ultimately pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 13 months in prison at Nottingham Crown Court.
